Luton is a town located in the county of Bedfordshire, England. It is situated about 30 miles (48 kilometers) north of London and has a population of around 213,000 people (as of my last knowledge update in September 2021).
Luton has a rich history and was originally known for its hat-making industry in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It later became an important center for car production, with the Vauxhall Motors factory being one of the major employers in the area.
Luton is also known for its international airport, London Luton Airport, which serves as a hub for low-cost airlines and offers a range of domestic and international flights.
The town has several cultural and leisure attractions, including museums, parks, and theaters. Wardown Park Museum, Stockwood Discovery Centre, and the Hat Factory Arts Centre are among the notable places to visit.
As with any location, there may have been developments or changes in Luton since my last update. For the most current information about Luton, I recommend checking more recent sources.
